This is the second year for the upweller at the
Surf City Yacht Club.

Note that the 7 week BH oysters are a little larger than the ones from SC. We believe that the FLUPSY provides more water flow and that causes the oyster to grow faster. Look how big the will be in another 22 months!
In the lower left is a clam that went under the predator net in October, 2006. It still has two months to grow and then it, along with its cohort, will be set in the wild to make room for the 2007 crop to grow under the net until November 2008.


Gustavo and Tom counted out the oysters.
Look at 10 oysters next to a dime.
They loaded 250,000 on July 12, 2007






July is the beginning of the 2007 growing season.








The first issue is to set up the upwellers. Ernie, Al and Mike were at the Surf City Yacht Club along with Gef, Tom and Gustavo.
